Commitment!

“Then where does your intention come from? Nothing can resist the human will that will stake even its existence on its stated purpose.”

Benjamin Disraeli

“Commitment” is the last, and I believe the most important, of my “Eight Power Principles” home study program. (Available, of course, at http://www.ExtraordinaryBook.com)

When one makes the kind of commitment the former British Prime Minister is referring to here, any other real or perceived weakness can be overcome.

Please share your commitment examples!

With love and respect,

Robert

Nothing forces a commitment like taking responsibility for irresponsibility. I always collect receipts but sent them to my accountant...never looked at the totals I'd spent by year's end on things like clothing or other frivolities. This year I demanded a full reckoning for every penny I'd spent on everything. The totals floored me, and made me commit to a more responsible financial life in every possible aspect of my existence. That act also made me take interest in not only my net worth but also other areas of my financial health, and that spurred me to take on other responsibilities as well- one commitment led to another, to another, to another. It's amazing how a cleanup in one big area, like cleaning a spot on a dirty fridge, forces you to clean the whole thing. Can't go back now...it feels too good to take charge. Julia Hubbel
